Input
Scope
Any
Bind Pipe copies the incoming data pipe into a named variable and forwards the same pipe to the next block. Use it when a later step still needs the original pipe, but you also want a stable name (for example after an API call).
If Key is empty, nothing is stored.
Configure
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Key | Name to store the piped value under. Same naming rules as Set. |
| Set In Current Scope | On (default): store in this scope, like Set. Off: write on the existing owner of that name, like Update (creates locally if the name is new) |
Handles
| Handle | Role |
|---|---|
| In (target) | Incoming connection |
| Out (source) | Continues with the same pipe value |
Pipe schema
The next block still sees the incoming pipe (pipe.value is unchanged). The bound name holds that same value.
Use case
- After a block whose output you will need twice, bind it as
apiResultand keep usingpipe.valueon the next step. - Inside a loop, bind the item result locally; turn Set In Current Scope off to keep it after the loop.
