Create Object / Array (palette name Create Object / Array) builds a nested object or list in the inspector. Each leaf can be a fixed value or a context path. The resolved structure is written to the data pipe.
Optionally set Store as to also save the same value as a named variable in the current (local) scope, like Set. Downstream blocks can bind that name directly.
Use Object when you already have an object and need get, set, merge, or pick. Use Array when you already have a list.
Configure
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Store as (optional) | Context variable name. Leave empty to only use the data pipe. Same naming rules as Set. |
| Object or array | Nested object or list. Leaves are literals or variable bindings |
Handles
| Handle | Role |
|---|---|
| In (target) | Incoming connection |
| Out (source) | Continues after the structure is built |
Pipe schema
The next block reads this on the data pipe (pipe.value). The shape matches the tree you configured (object or list, with nested keys as you defined them).
If Store as is set, the same value is also available under that name in the current scope.
Use case
- Assemble an API request body from
argsand earlier blocks. - Build a row object whose keys match a table before Table Insert. Keys are case-sensitive.
