Text (palette name Text) asks the person in a chat session for a value, then continues. Pick an Input Type so the control and checks match (plain text, number, email, and so on).
Use Calendar when you want a date picker instead of typed datetime. Shared bind, navigation, and error options are on Input.

Pipe schema
The next block reads this on the data pipe (pipe.value). The value is number when Input Type is Number, and text for every other type.
If Binding Variable → Key is set, the same value is stored under that name.
Use case
- Collect an email or phone with format checks before sending a message.
- Ask for a quantity as a number with min/max.
- Collect a password-style secret with length and character rules.
