Run an agent or workflow immediately in the background.

Scope
Any
Schedule Now starts a top-level agent or workflow immediately in the background. It does not create a row under Activity → Schedule. The current graph continues with the new run’s session and task ids.
The target must be a general (not linked) agent or workflow. If the target has an input schema, Input schema appears so you can map values (including env.*).
Use Create Schedule when the run should fire later.
Configure
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Label (optional) | Name stored on the invoker for the run |

| Target | Eligible general agent or workflow (required) |
| Input schema | Shown when the target has input args |
Handles
| Handle | Role |
|---|---|
| In (target) | Incoming connection |
| Out (source) | Continues after the detached run is started |
Pipe schema
The next block reads this on the data pipe (pipe.value):
| Key | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
sessionId | text | Chat session id for the started run |
taskId | text | Root task id for the started run |
Use case
- Kick a follow-up workflow without waiting for it to finish.
- Fan out work: start another agent with mapped input, then continue this graph.
