Lookup copies a field from a row you already linked with Relation or Multi Relation. You do not pick a value. Changing Config does not rewrite existing cells until you Recalculate values.
Name, key, hidden, and permissions are the same for every column — see Tables.

A lookup through a Relation shows one value. Through a Multi Relation it shows a list.
Use case
- Order Customer email from the linked customer, so you never retype it.
- Show a product SKU next to the linked product name without duplicating data.
