Link this row to one record in another table.

Relation stores a link to one row in another table. You pick the related record in the cell. A matching reverse column is created on the other table so the link is two-way.
Use Multi Relation when a cell should link to several rows.
If the reverse column is Multi Relation (typical customer ← orders), several rows may point at the same related record. The Relation cell still holds only one record, so that related row cannot sit on two reverse cells at once — picking it elsewhere moves the link.
Name, key, unique, hidden, and permissions are the same for every column — see Tables.

Use case
- An order’s Customer: pick Acme; Customers gets an Orders reverse column automatically.
- Combine with Lookup to show the customer’s email on the order without typing it.
- Unique when each related record should be linked at most once (one seat per person, one primary contact).
