Secure Text stores a secret (API tokens, notes, credentials you may need to read later). Values are encrypted and shown masked. This is not Password (hashed, not meant to be revealed as the original string).
Name, key, hidden, and permissions are the same for every column — see Tables.
Configure

| Reveal permission | Role or permission needed to unmask the value. Encryption and masking stay on. |
Use case
- API keys, recovery codes, or customer secrets the team must copy later (not login passwords).
- Masked cells for most roles; only the Reveal permission role unmasks in the grid.
- Use Password instead when you should never see the original string again.
