Google account connections
Google connects a Google account with OAuth. Enable only the capabilities you need:
- Gmail for Mail Chat and Mail Received
- Google Calendar for calendar tools (turn on Create Meet conference on create/update event to attach a Meet link without enabling the Meet capability)
- Google Drive for Drive files and Drive changed watches
- Google Sheets and Google Docs to list and edit those files (listing uses Drive metadata; file-change events also need Google Drive)
- Google Contacts, Google Meet, and Google Tasks for those tools (no push events — use a schedule plus list blocks)
This is not Gemini (an API key for models).
Connecting, testing, and toggling capabilities is the same for every provider — see Third Party Services.
Prepare the Google account
- Use a Google account that owns the mailbox, calendars, Drive files, and other data you want in Vettero. Open the matching Google apps to confirm you can access them.
- If your organization uses Google Workspace, ask an admin to allow third-party access for Vettero if sign-in is blocked.
- You do not create a Google Cloud OAuth client yourself. Vettero opens Google’s consent screen.
Drive file-change events need a public HTTPS notification URL on Vettero’s Google Cloud project (Drive does not use the Gmail push topic). Your operator registers that URL once.
Grant access
- In Vettero, add Google, then Connect Now.
- Select at least one capability so the correct permissions are requested.
- Choose Sign in with Google. Allow popups if the browser blocks the window.
- On Google’s consent screen, sign in and allow the requested access (plus email identity).
If Google does not grant a capability you selected, reconnect and allow those permissions, or turn that capability off.
Manage access on Google
- Review or revoke Vettero under Google account → Connections.
- After revoke, the connection shows as disconnected until you Re-Connect and sign in again.
- Enabling a capability that needs new scopes also requires Re-Connect.
